Aruka nodded quickly, peering from side to side.

"Yeah, I can feel another presence around..."

After her last word, there was stillness in the area- a gust of wind blew lightly upon their faces, blasting a cool breeze to send shivers down their spine. Her eyes wandered around her; from time to time, landing suspicious glares from the large creature wearing her blue garment. Then, she took a look back Hikaru who was scanning the surrounding herself. Aruka, out of the blue, however tugged on her sleeve; bright blue eyes staring at her inquisitively.

"Isn't Hikari the name of your dog?"

She asked, forgetting about the mysterious presence that seem to come their way.

Misoka eyed the three uneasily, especially the one holding the sword and the rather large horned human. She instantly dismissed the Blue haired kit from her list of challenges, however that still left the question of what to do about the other two...

"Well when all else fails stay hidden ne?" she whispered to herself. Though she didnt know the extent of these humans abilities so simply hiding could become a bit impossible. She wondered if she could still perform illusions as she didnt seem to have lost any of her other abilities... Deciding that it was worth a shot for a back up plan, she quickly swiped a few leaves from the bush she was hiding in, realizing that she may have to defeat the humans for her own well being and half praying that her magic still worked.

Gratefully, he accepted the piece of cloth from the girl, and found it slightly painful to see how she looked upon him. None the less, he wrapped it around his waist and made sure it'd stay in place. When she asked him if he was a bad monster or not, which he found quite sad, he sat down in front of her with bent knees to level himself to her height and put on a smile, he remembered to hide the fangs so not to scare her.

"I'm not a bad.. monster.." he said, the last word stung him like a bee, "I promise I won't hurt you, at least. That's the best I can do for now." he added in a calm, friendly tone.

Suddenly, the other female, who had been deep in thought ever since he asked her to give him a name, said that he should be called Hikari. Announcing it with a cute little grin, the female seemed very proud of thinking up the name.

"Hikari..? I see no reason to object that name." he said and smiled towards the girl that had given him his name, his tail swinging calmly.

Suddenly, Hikari tensed, he had no idea why. Then he saw the same reaction from the taller girl who had drawn her sword already. He slowly crept up on his feet again, sniffing the air for the source of the scent he felt, the hairs on his body rising, beastial instincts kicking in. They weren't alone..

The taller girl spoke to the smaller one, calling her Aruka, asking her if she could feel the fourth presence in the area. Aruka quickly nodded in response, admitting she did sense someone there.

Hikari kept on sniffing the air, his gaze fixed on a bush. He didn't know how he knew, but he was sure that he knew.. someone was hiding in that bush. There was complete silence around them, apart from the wind blowing. Hikari looked at the two females standing close to him, he was about to signal the sword carrying girl about the unknown presence's whereabouts when Aruka suddenly asked the other girl if she hadn't named Hikari after her dog. It didn't register with Hikari just yet, he did lose his train of thought for a moment, but then it came back..

"Wait.. what?! You named me after a dog?!" Hikari half shouted, sounding slightly angry, "I know I look like a beast.. but come on.." he said in a slightly more relaxed tone.

Aruka sweat dropped, chuckling at the surprised expression of their new found companion.

"Im sure Hikaru-chan didn't mean to..."

She said, offering a tangerine-hued blossom to the large male, smiling sweetly; her hands extending to him, eyes gazing innocently and child-like. Aruka tilted her head to the side, waiting for him to accept her gift.

"Strange-person-san, I'll give you flowers too if you promise not to hurt us."

Her bright blue eyes shot a glance at the nearby bush where she felt the presence not too long ago. Another flower was picked from the basket, this one being pink in color.

"And we promise not to hurt you either."

Aruka said kindly, as she smiled broadly towards the green mount of leaves.

Misoka eyed the smaller girl cautiously 'Give me flowers?' she thought. The thoughts of taking care of the small girl first suddenly weighed heavy on her heart, as if they were the thoughts of a blood thirsty human. Though she tried to convince herself that they were merely trying to coax her out, but something about the girls eyes...

"No, she just wants to catch me" she muttered to herself trying to pursuade herself away from even a thought of leaving her hiding place, but as the girls eyes looked at the very bush she was hiding in, she couldnt help but believe her. After all if the girl wanted to kill her she merely had to point one of the two she was traveling with towards her hiding spot.

Her long red-brown fox ears drooped as she slowly made her way out of the bush two leaves in each hand, just in case. As her eyes met the horned human she froze in fear and fell to her knees with her leaves held in front of her cautiously.

In her heart she was torn between the thought of how stupid she was and the prayer that either her magic worked or these humans were slow enough that she could get away, she had met some pretty scary hunters and she didnt know how fast she could move on her new human legs.

Aruka squealed in joy, leaping happily towards the unknown female. Her smile was broad, a happy face it was. Reaching a hand to the kitsune girl, a flower was presented to her. A beautiful pink blossom arranged in a make-shift boquet with other assortments of blushing hues.

"As promised."

She said innocently, as she dropped down to her knees to get a better look on the girl.

"Pretty, aren't they?"

Her words fluttered with no harm intended. It was obvious she was true, coaxing the other two people behind her to come over. Aruka placed the boquet in the girls hand, touching her lightly and sensitively as the two walked over.

"Don't worry, we won't harm you."

Another smile.

"I'm Aruka. Nice to meet you Nee-chan."

Hikaru was confused at the monster's anger. What was so wrong about being named after a dog? Hikari was her best friend, she's known the dog all her life. Hikaru didn't think that someone would take offense to being put at a dog's level. Or more like she didn't think of dogs being higher or lower than another, the red-haired girl never thought about hierarchy or anything of the sort. Hikaru's animal loving side took over in these situations, and she even thought the monster to be cute with all it's fur. Besides, if she were to step out of the box, she would remember that Hikari was a common name in Japan for... humans.

"...Wait a second. Did I ever tell Aruka-chan about my dog?" thought the Magic Knight suddenly.

But of course, that train of thought was immediately thrust aside as Aruka ushered the Kitsune out of her hiding. It didn't take any hesitation whatsoever to put back her sword into her glove and come running along to be introduced with the new girl. Her bright smile once again plastered onto her face, she practically jumped to Misoka, her eyes twinkling as she spoke in her ever energetic tone.

"Hi, I'm Hikaru! What's your name?"[/color]

Misoka's tail began to sway gently as she peered into Aruka's eyes "nee...chan" she said softly to herself taking a better hold of the flower in her hand. She nodded in thanks and dropped the leaves in her hand "I'm Misoka" she said softly.

Her ears perked up as the older human approached. Misoka cursed herself silently for dropping the leaves, realizing that the other girl still held a weapon. Though as if noticing her fear the human simply made the blade disappear as if by magic.

"Hi, I'm Hikaru! What's your name?"

"...Misoka" she repeated, a little fearful at the two humans approaching her. She couldn't help but stare at the red haired one with still a tinge of fear. "Ummm could you tell me where we are?" she paused "It may be hard to believe but I was a fox before and...I woke up here like this" she held her arms up still clasping the small flower.

Her fox instincts told her, screamed for her to run, that there were way too many humans here and that the horned one may still be dangerous. The oddest thing being...she could ignore it. Humanity was an odd thing...

Instantly calming down, Hikari accepted the flower from Aruka, a smile crept on his bestial yet human-ish visage and his whole body relaxed.

"Thank you.. Aruka." Hikari said with a smile and put the flower bethween the cloth covering him and himself by his hip.

Aruka seemed to have noticed the other person there, and asked him, her or it to come out, promising they wouldn't hurt whoever it was. Hikari relaxed his shoulders and took a neutral pose, so not to threaten whoever was there, not bothering with forcing a smile.

Suddenly the person moved out of the bush, it was funny.. how this one chose to hid exactly the same way Hikari had.. only this one had been more succesful. It was a young girl.. with fox ears. Naturally curious, Hikari couldn't help but somewhat stare at her, when she looked at him and met his gaze.. he felt her fright and cursed himself for being so careless.

"I'm sor.." Hikari started, trying to apologise and make it known that he meant the girl no harm, but he was cut off from Aruka's joyful squeling. All too trustingly, Aruka went to the girl and handed her flowers. Hikari started to protest, but then remembered how he had been treated by her even for his new, scary look.

"Why wouldn't Aruka trust this girl? She doesn't look half as frightening as me.." Hikari thought to himself, relaxing once more.

Looking towards Hikaru, Hikari noticed how she quickly put the sword away and ran towards Aruka and the fox girl, a wide smile on her face. Hikari followed slowly after her, trying to be as un-intimidating as he could. Hikaru introduced herself to the girl and asked her for her name.

"..Misoka" was all Hikari heard as he came towards them. She explained to them that she used to be a fox and woke up as a human.

Hikari couldn't help but chuckle slightly, he apologised for that and sat down so not to tower over the three any longer, folding his knees he looked at the fox girl and smiled, a real, honest smile.

"Well.. I used to be a human before I woke up here.. so I sort of know what you're going through, only it's the opposite." Hikari said, trying to make his dim voice sound friendly, "and don't you worry about these two, if they can see me like this and not attempt killing me on the spot, I think you've got nothing to worry about."

"Oh, I'm Hikari, by the way," he added with a slight grin.

"I used to be as old as Hikaru and well,"

Aruka paused, as she resumed a seat next to Misoka and Hikaru.

"Taller than her."

Her eyes were fixated on everyone, taking time to make eye contact with everyone around her. Aruka's face suddenly began to look sullen, eyes looming with confusion and near tears.

"I lost my memory, I don't even know where I came from... My name isn't even real. The person who found me got "Aruka" from the nearby tombstone name, and its freaky."

Aruka began to sob a little, wiping her tears away with the hem of her skirt.
