After the disappearance of Yondaime Tsuchikage somtime ago, threats upon the life of current Tsuchikage Shakuichi Ashurei has been flooding his desk, alarming the whole council of Iwagakure. The threats had been atrocious in remarks, making it clear that the perpetrator’s intent was serious and is highly possible of being made.

While speculations of whose behind the threats points out to different aspects of society, one suspect stands out from the rest. The appearance of Kusagakure Royal Empress Jade Hisui was one of the basis of the council member’s that Kusa was in fact the mastermind behind the threats, being that both village’s has been on each other’s necks for the longest time. However, these speculations are but just speculations as the Grass Village made no comments whatsoever about the matter, making the situation grow more in tension as an attack might take place at any given time of day.

Yesterday, an Iwa mercenary was found decapitated along the borders of Iwa and Kusa, thus, making the suspicions grow stronger. Later that day, a package was delivered to the desk of the Tsuchikage, with the mercenary’s head gruesomely placed inside the box, with a note, saying-

Greetings my pathetic Tsuchikage,

On the coming full moon of this month, you shall come to the same fate as your little lap dog. Until your head is still connected to that shoulder of yours, we shall take innocent lives in your stead ‘till you your self would surrender yourself to us peacefully with no negotiations.

It was sneaky of the enemies to set the assassination at the exact date of the conference with the Mizukage and Raikage, but with the tension looming around, the conference could not be moved, as both Kage’s are dealing with their own troubles.

With the whole Village in the state of panic, the Tsuchikage called for an urgent meeting with his council, discussing the pressing matters at hand.

Objectives

M.1) All Security Envoy personnel’s must arrive at the meeting place at the designated time and place.

M.2) Secure the life of the Tsuchikage at any cost.

M.2.1) Escort the Tsuchikage to the conference with the Mizukage of Kiri and Raikage of Kumo to Usuba Valley, south of Iwagakure.

M.3) After the conference, escort the Tsuchikage back to Iwa safely.

Additional Mission

AM.1) Fend of assailant’s in order to protect the Tsuchikage, use force if necessary.

AM.1.2) If an assailant is captured, go and make an interrogation. Make sure that every detail is written down word per word.

AM.2) Hostile and uncooperative assailants or prisoners should be dispatched off quickly as to not have them added to any aftershocks of assaults from the enemy.

You are assigned to escort and protect our Tsuchikage from the threats of an unknown enemy while he journey’s to the conference with the Mizukage and Raikage. The enemies are hostile and serious to kill, protect the Tsuchikage at any cost.

The Tsuchikage must arrive safe and sound at the conference and back to Iwagakure, any harm inflicted on our leader shall be marked in your book, so be very cautious of the actions you make.

“This is an outrage,” exclaimed a man of his fifties, balling his fist in the wooden desk out of anger, “how dare those people threat the life of our leader!”

“I agree,” seconded by a female Jounin leader who stood next to the old man, nodding to him in agreement, “this threat should not be taken lightly. Our former Tsuchikage went missing for no reason and still no trace, now, the life of our current is being put on the line. This is really serious, we must act.”

Chorusing with yes’s and nods, the rest of the council sat contemplating on the wide rectangular table, with the blood stained note situated in the hands of the Tsuchikage.

“They’re going to kill again if they don’t get Tsuchikage-sama’s head, such brutality. The lives of the innocent are also being put on the line how those bastards dare treat us like dirt is almost unthinkable!”

The old man sighed, massaging his temple, “But we cannot make any sudden actions, the conference cannot be moved. For now, we shall protect the Tsuchikage, until then, we’ll have an investigative party to tail these fiends.”

“What are you talking about?” asked indignantly of another council member, “the trails would get cold by then. We must act now!”

Murmurs and silent whispers flooded the room, as the Tsuchikage sat in utter silence, pondering the situation.

GM Notes

RP would start Saturday, 12:00 midnight (+8:00 GMT). All participants must be present at the opening.

The RP would last until the 30th of August of the same time. Make sure to meet the objectives and keep track of them; chances of failure are a possibility, so make sure you do your best to protect the Tsuchikage or suffer casualties, maybe even death.

Have fun everyone, make sure to enjoy yourselves. This will be my first official GM work here on ARC- Naruto GMT RP, and the first Mission Arc time in over 2 years. I do hope you patronize my work and the succeeding plotlines I would produce over time.

Ashura

Ashurei listened to the conversations between the councils in silence. Obviously he was bothered about the situation..the last days were tough. Reiceiving this threatened letters and then this disgusting package...it creeped him out..yet he had to do something about it.

However this protection talking got on his nerves..he didn't want it, cause he no one should fight or get hurt for him, that would be plain wrong in his opinion. He understood that politics would work like that, the head of a Village is always first priority, the others would be minor casualties, but this disgusted Ashurei the most. He just couldn't agree with that, cause all living beings should be treated equally..no life is less worth than another.

His eyes shifted to Yamamura, who remained in silence until now. Ashurei wondered why this matter didn't made him upset at all, at least not upset enough to raise his voice. Probably this guy would be happy if the Tsuchikage would lose his head, who knows...but Ashurei just couldn't trust this guy, nor did he knew who he actually could trust from the Councilhood.

“But we cannot make any sudden actions, the conference cannot be moved. For now, we shall protect the Tsuchikage, until then, we’ll have an investigative party to tail these fiends.”

“What are you talking about?”

asked indignantly of another council member,

“the trails would get cold by then. We must act now!”

Ashurei's eyebrows twiched in annoyance as he closed his eyes for a moment. Suddenly he shot his eyes open, stood up and slammed one hand on the desk.

"Enough of this!"

The Councils suddenly shut their mouth cause of the sudden outburst of their Kage.

"But..Tsuchikage-sama.."

The guy said, who just told them to protect their Kage at all cost.

"NO, this shouldn't just be about protecting me..we have bigger issues than this..the ones who are at fault for this are killing randomly people of our Village and they just even proofed it..they are not joking."

Yuro, who was sitting next to Ashurei, letting out a sigh.

"We can't leave this matter alone for now..I don't allow any more casualties..they just want me..no one else, so I won't just give in and hide like a puppy behind my people..if anything I'll fight..further desicions I'll make then.."

He slammed himself back on his chair..his look serious and upset. What he meant with further desicions in the heat of the battle or whatever..was unclear to the others.

"This is selfish of you..everyone knows, that if the Kage dies, the Village is in danger..so we have to take care of that first..we need to get you healthy to the converence..the rest will follow."

Suddenly Yamamura spoke up.

"Now you speak up.."

Ashurei thought, facing the man and replied.

"I appreciate your concern, Yamamura-sama"

As nice as Ashurei could, he replid..but his look, the glare he gave the older man, showed something else..the anger and disgust of this guy.

"But I take this matter more serious than you it seems..we have to get right to work..if you wish for both..but both matters have to be treated equally."

Ashurei rather had given more priority about the safity of his people than himself, but he knew there was no way debating over that..cause they just would think of it ridiculous.

"Very well Tsuchikage-sama if you insist, it leaves me no other choice it seems..I'll arrange that we get right to work, looking after the trails, while you are on your way to the converence."

The head of the Councilhood spoke up, cutting off Yamamura, who was about to open his mouth again to speak up. Ashurei nodded, but with his look remained sternly.

"Thank you!"

Yuro groaned and buried his face in his arms, lying on the table in front of him. He was getting frustrated and impatient. He despised these people with every part of his being. 'What do they mean we shall protect? Those old fools couldn't protect a damn thing..'

The Councils suddenly shut their mouth cause of the sudden outburst of their Kage. Yuro lifted his head lazily to look at his friend for a second before looking at the council, his eyes glazed over with boredom.

"But..Tsuchikage-sama.."

The guy said, who just told them to protect their Kage at all cost.

"NO, this shouldn't just be about protecting me..we have bigger issues than this..the ones who are at fault for this are killing randomly people of our Village and they just even proofed it..they are not joking."

Yuro let out another sigh. He knew there was no point in arguing. They council always disapproved of what either teen had to say. Why would it be any different now?

He slammed himself back on his chair. Yuro turned his head and grinned weakly at the Kage.

'Senile old fool..' Yuro thought bitterly, rolling his eyes. 'We know you're only thinking of yourself..' Yuro groaned and buried his face deeper into his arms. 'You're up to something..'

"Heh..It seems your say means nothing right now, Yamamura." Yuro teased bitterly.

"Yuro.."

"What?! You know he's pissed. Just look at him!" He threw his hand out in Yamamura's direction. "I know your game.." Yuro growled with a sinister, threatening look in his eyes before standing up and storming out of the room.

"Yuro.."

"What? We all know that the Kage's mission is to defend his people. He's trying to act like he cares..you know he doesn't! We all know damn well that he would love to have you lose power so he could usurp Kageship!" Yuro shot back his accusation.

"I'm leaving. Being in his presence sickens me.." Yuro growled as he moved down the hall. He never liked or trusted Yamamura. He didn't trust anyone from the council, but Yamamura was the one he disliked most and everyone knew that. He dropped back into a chair in Ashurei's office and waited for his friend to follow. He tugged at his shirt collar as he waited, trying to cool down.

Ashurei sighed as Yuro left..this was getting out of hands. Even if Ashurei could understand his feelings well..they couldn't show it off like that without any proof yet.

"Che this brat. Always talking nonsense!"

Yamamura commented. Ashurei instantly shot a glare at him.

"You are in no position to talk like that Yamamura-sama..I would appreciate it if you would show Yurochka some respect."

Suddenly Yamamura laughed.

"Respect? Does he show even respect to me? I think no, so why should I?"

"Cause.."

"That's enough of you two...sorry to say so Tsuchikage-sama..but we have no time to waste!"

Ashurei sighed once again, but agreed.

"Yeah I know.."

Yamamura hissed silently, obviously angry about this all.

"Please get ready, you'll leave in a bit and meet up outside of Iwa with the Mizukage and the Raikage. Elyas Butai got also informed I believe, right?"

Ashurei nodded.

"Yes he will come along with us..he said he will get us some assistance in this from the Reibuntai"

"Alright, that's good. Be careful out there and return safely Tsuchikage-sama..we'll do here what we can, while you are on your way, like I said..so don't worry about that stuff."

Ashurei nodded again.

"Yeah..thank you.."

Then he looked to Yamamura, who just looked down on the desk..hiding his anger desperately.

"Well then, I take my leave."

With that said he left the meeting and moved back to his office, sighing and exhausted already from this debating. This all was so weird..why would someone want his death? And for what purpose? Is this really cause of the Empress...cause she was in Iwa? They didn't harm her..was it really just Kusa, who was behind this? It just made no sense..at least not to Ashurei.

However he entered his office, just to find Yuro sitting in the room, seemingly annoyed.

"What a show off you did in there...not that I wouldn't understand your feelings, but we have to invenstigate that in secret to catch the ones who could plot behind the scene...so we have to be cautious what we say.."

It took a while for Ashurei to arrive. Yuro still hadn't cooled off completely. He despised Yamamura and the rest. If he had his way he'd get rid of them without a second thought. 'Ashurei doesn't need a council..he's wise enough to make his own decisions..Leeches..'

Yuro looked over at his friend, still tugging at his shirt. "Tch..I don't care right now. It doesn't matter what I say, everyone knows of my distaste and suspicion towards him."

"Still.."

"Yeah. Yeah. I'm sorry okay? This is stressful. You and I both know that.." he threw his glance towards the window and stared.

"Should we be going now? I'd like to get this over with as soon as possible..so we can start our investigation of those bastards.."

Ashura

Ashurei knew that this all was much...always handling the councils and that stuff...but for Ashurei it was even harder at this very moment. Someone was after his life..yet threatening his people...here and then some thought came into his mind to just surrender to the ones..sacraficing himself so they would leave the others alone...yet he knew he just couldn't do that.

He looked to Yuro, but then back to the desk, where he moved to.

"If Yuro would know of this thought..he would scold me..very badly.."

He took the mask out of the desk, which he usually wore when he left the village and stored it in his coat..he wasn't sure if he really would need it or not..so he took it with him just in case.

However, just as Ashurei was done doing that, Keiichi entered the room.

"Ashurei...like always I'll take your place while you are gone.."

His voice was concerned.

"Please be careful...and retrun in one piece..although I know if someone comes closer to you..someone will push the stranger away without second thoughts."

He grinned, while he looked to Yuro.

"Don't worry Keiichi, I'll return soon..so just think of it like a mission like any other.."

He smiled and Keiichi nodded, trying to hide his worries at best he could.

"Well anyway.."

He looked to Yuro, now with a serious look.

"Please watch good over our Tsuchikage, even though I know you'll, I felt like saying that."

Ashurei looked at Keiichi, also this boy was concerned..very much..he was one of his trusted Sannins...he was glad that he had him...cause without Keiichi he wouldn't be able to leave like that most of the time.

However Ashurei stepped forward and said.

"Well, we will leave in a second..thank you for all again Keiichi."

Ashurei moved to the door, while Keiichi looked to Ashurei and nodded in like a "No problem".

"When Elyas arrives here, we will begin our Journey.."

Before his knuckle could rapt the door for a second time, it opened. Inside stood Ashurei along with Yuro who held the door opened with a small smile on his face. They were packed and looking eager.

"Ely~~" Yuro said, a smile on his lips. The young man was always far too friendly. Stepping in, Elyas ruffled his hair and made a low bow before Ashurei.
"I'm sorry for the delay Sir. I made my preparations as quickly as possible." Giving him a wide smile Ashurei waved the apology away with a kind flick of his hand.
"Don't let it bother you Elyas. I'm glad you came." The words were spoken meaningfully and Elyas grinned despite himself.

"Well, let's not delay any longer." With that the three made there way from the room, meeting up with Takuma outside the door, his wolfish face splitting in a grin and quickly licking Yuro's hand. Elyas grinned and they made there way down the hall. Although Yuro tried to hide it Elyas couldn't help but notice the young man slipping Takuma a treat from a pocket. When they arrived at the front door however Ashurei paused.

"Elyas... what's the meaning of this?" His voice couldn't hide the surprise and Elyas raised an eyebrow to follow his sight line. Then grinned again.

"This Sir," Elyas began opening his arms. "Is your escort." At the bottom of the steps before them knelt twenty Iwa nin all with heads bowed and packs on their back. Only one nin befoe them did not bow. Tulie, her smile radiant in the sun stepped forward and bowed before the three men.

"The final three arrived just before you stepped out Elyas." She was grinning from ear to ear and Elyas couldn't help but take in the beauty of her. Her long auburn hair draped over her shoulder in a long braid and her body clad in the black suit accustomed to the Reibuntai. Hers fit a bit more snugly however showing off her curves. Elyas cleared his throat and stepped forward to face Ashurei.

"When my Kage need an escort, I bring him one."

"But Elyas..." Ashurei began then faded away taking all the nin in. ""We'll be slowed down." The Iwa Kage seemed to be grasping at straws for some way to take less nin into danger, and Elyas knew it.

"Don't worry they will not. Fifteen will follow and be easy at hand, while the other five will scout and be led by Tulie." He indicated the young woman with a hand on her shoulder then hastily took it away when she blushed. He kept forgetting they were in public.

"I intend to not let any harm come to you," He bowed once again before Ashurei then continued. "Or Yuro." The young man beside the Kage grinned and patted Takuma who sat on his haunches beside him. "Danger will not glance at anyone in this party without the Reibuntai to be between it and you, Sir."

Ten Loyal Rams, Five Fierce Tigers, and another Five Hunting Dogs for scouts. Sufficient escort indeed. Not to mention Takuma and his pack of wolves. They would be as safe as they could be. Not to much to hinder, not to little to be vulnerable.

With a grin Yuro looked to Ashurei. "Looks like we move on your word Rei Rei."

Ashura

Ashurei looked at the group as they stood by the entrance, ready to head out. So many Shinobi's would come along, just to protect him..maybe put their lifes on the line to even do so. He didn't really like it..although he knew Elyas just made sure that Ashurei would reach the converence safe. Also he did a really good job in preparing this all in quite a short time...still he felt not well about that..they never knew what will really happen on their way...and he didn't would want any more casualties. He himself would make sure that no one would get hurt, not for him, not for such a reason. Tsuchikage is an important position and he knew that, but he just couldn't put up with the idea that he has to be protected at all costs...it seemed wrong in his opnion, yet he couldn't talk it out loud.

"Looks like we move on your word Rei Rei."

Ashurei suddenly got pulled out of his thoughts, thinking about the situation and such as Yuro spoke up, like awlays with a grin on his lips.

"Yeah.."

He nodded, not as eager at all. This situation brought a tense around him..but maybe just he was the one who was tense..prolly it was like that. When he looked at Elyas and Yuro, both were posetive in this...at least it seemed like that...but maybe it was always just a playoff to make Ashurei feel better..who knows.

"Then let's head out to Usuba Valley.."

With his voice more raised, he tried to do his best to not let anyone feel how he felt at the moment. This would be plain wrong..when his companions tried so hard. All nodded and with that they headed out South. Guards put infront of Ashurei and behind him, while Yuro ran beside the Tsuchikage..moving at any other position was a quite impossible call.

Yuro grinned as he ran by his friend. He knew this situation was serious, but he tried his best to put himself and his friend at ease, like he always did. 'I need to distract him some..myself too..' he sighed. 'Usuba Valley, eh? I don't think I've been there before..' He glanced around at the human shields scattered around the two boys. Would everyone make it back in one piece? If not, how would Ashurei react? Surely he would be upset..

"ReiRei~ After we get back from this, I say we go on a roooomantic vacation~ You me and the Raikage~"

Several of the other Rams threw strange looks back at the Sannin, but he continued his joking around. "Come on~"

"Yuro.."

"I'll even take care of the paperwork for you~ Seriously~" he grinned brightly. "Whaddya say? You need a break~ Oooh. We should plan a festival for the townspeople." He clapped his hands together as he ran. "I'm sure they'd like that~ Maybe a joint festival with Kumo too~ That could help tighten bonds and foster a greater friendship between our countries~"

"What do you say? Let's think of the future. That will give us something worth fighting for~"

Yuro grinned brightly. "Whaddya say? You need a break~ Oooh. We should plan a festival for the townspeople."

He clapped his hands together as he ran.

"I'm sure they'd like that~ Maybe a joint festival with Kumo too~ That could help tighten bonds and foster a greater friendship between our countries~"

"What do you say? Let's think of the future. That will give us something worth fighting for~"

Ashurei sighed, he knew his friend just wanted to lighten up the situation, but he just didn't feel like going hyper. They were already outside of town..on their way to the meeting place, where the converence between him, the Raikage and the Mizukage took place. He was cautious..looking around every time..even though he hardly could see through all the people who moved around him and Yuro.

"I thank you for you comfort Yuro.."

Ashurei finally replied.

"We'll see what we can do after we finished this up...a festival..would be a great idea, I guess.."

His voice not as eager as Yuro's, he at least tried to sound strong enough to make Yuro feel better of course. Yuro always tried to make the best out of the sitautions..even if it was gloomy..he tried his best to lighten up the mood..Ashurei really appreciated that.

Ashurei tried to eye Elyas, who probably were leading the whole group through the paths. Tree's could be seen everywhere..a forest narrowed. The Tsuchikage didn't know when they would attack, nor how strong they really were...but he couldn't shake off the feeling..that something bad might happen. More casualties? His own death? Probably the death of his dear friends? He wouldn't know..he also tried to shake this thoughts off as best he could..but it still lingered around. He wanted to be cautious at best..seeing quickly anything that might come..protecting his friends instantly...no one..absolutely no one should make any sacrafices here..not for him..he'd rather prefer death over that.
